HELM is built for men who want to be honest about their lives. That means we take your privacy seriously. Here's what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What We Collect

When you sign up, we collect your phone number and first name. During onboarding and weekly conversations, we store your responses so HELM can personalize your experience and track your progress over time. This includes answers to check-in questions, your onboarding profile (goals, values, areas of growth), and conversation history.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used for one purpose: to make HELM work for you. Your responses power the AI's ability to ask relevant questions, select scripture that connects to your situation, and generate your monthly reports. We also use anonymized, aggregated data (with no personally identifying information) to improve the product.

What We Don't Do

We will never sell your personal information to third parties. We will never share your individual responses with anyone, including churches, pastors, or group leaders, without your explicit permission. We will never use your data for advertising. Your conversations are between you and HELM.

Third-Party Services

HELM uses Twilio to send and receive text messages, OpenAI to power the AI conversations, and Airtable to store data. Each of these services has its own privacy policy and security practices. We chose them because they meet industry standards for data protection.

Data Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your data. That said, no system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to reach out if you have concerns.

Deleting Your Data

You can request deletion of all your data at any time by texting DELETE to your HELM number or emailing us at the address below. We will remove your data within 30 days of the request.

Changes to This Policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll let you know via text before they take effect.
